The Vieux Carre is a cocktail representing the French Quarter of New Orleans, first designed at the Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone.
This cocktail doesn’t bring out the rye has strong, but creates a blend of flavors to generate a new profile in your mouth. The use of sweet vermouth does bring a bit more of a wine-like flavor with a lot of classic design playing in your mouth.

3/4 oz. Rye Whiskey, 3/4 oz. Cognac, 3/4 oz. Sweet Vermouth, 1 Bar Spoon Benedictine, 2 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters, 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters, Cherry Garnish.
