Arm around the Head Grip Change Move

Hi, I’m Chris Cardone and I’m going to teach you how to do an around the head grip change. It’s a really, really simple idea behind the around the head grip change, and it’s important to be able to pour around your head. So, whether you’re pouring into a tin or a glass or whatever you’re using, you want to be able to take the tin or the bottle, and be able to throw it around your head.

Now, if you just take your bottle, bringing it around your head kind of looks silly. But if you bring it around your head with a pouring grip, and you’re going to bring it down to a pour, it looks much better. So how do you get from grabbing a bottle out of your well or off your bar, to this position and a smooth motion to bring it around your head? It’s really simple.

It’s called an around the head grip change. So what you’re going to do, is you’re going to take your bottle, when you’re first practicing this, and you’re going to simply do what’s called a reverse grip. You’re going to switch your hand around, like that. And then you’re going to being it around your head, and you’re going to pour it into whatever item you’re pouring it into. As you get more and more comfortable, you’re going to sort of lead your bottle towards your head, and let go as the bottle’s in the air, and simply switch your grip as the bottle comes towards your face.

So you’re going to take your bottle, catch it, and bring it around like that. So you’re going to take your bottle out of your well, you’re going to throw it up, switch your hands, and come around, and pour. And that’s called an around the head grip change.
