Learning how to pull a pint is the easy part. Getting it right each time, and from each tap, with the correct ratio of head (foam) to beer is another matter.
After watching the video, you’ll know how to pour draft beer; but that doesn’t mean that you’ll be able to walk behind any bar in the world and pour a perfect pint of lager.
Other than knowing how to pour tap beer, there are many other variables at play – the age of the beer, how long ago the keg was tapped, the length of the beer lines from the tap to the fridge, are the lines cooled, are they cleaned etc etc.
Once you learn the basics of pouring a pint of lager, you’ll know what you can do to “fix” draft beer that is coming out of the tap too heady or too foamy.
Not being able to pour a draft beer is a clear indicator that you are inexperienced – learn how to pour draft and pour drinks properly and it will skyrocket your confidence behind the bar.
