The Brown Derby is a cocktail not really named after the “Derby” most people think about, but an establishment in in LA. However, because we had both a modern version and the original version, we decided to create both and figure out the difference.
While we’d urge you to try both, if you can only make one, then you’ll find the original is more caribbean with the island mentality and vacation as the purpose. The modern version is more speakeasy with a craft bar feeling. You decide.
